The Philippines conducted an oral polio vaccine drive in Manila from August 19 to 30, targeting 197,000 children under 5 years old. Local media quoted Health Secretary Francisco Duque III as saying the country is currently at risk of losing its polio-free status after third-dose coverage rates recently dropped below 95 percent. The city plans to run a second round from October 1 to 14 and a third round from November 15 to 30. Philippine News Agency; Manila Standard
