Ecuador extended its nationwide vaccination campaign against measles, rubella and polio for the second time. Originally slated to end July 9, the campaign, targeting 3.7 million children, continued through August 31. Children ages 2 to 12 were eligible for measles-rubella doses, while those ages 1 to 7 received polio vaccine. By late August, the campaign had reportedly reached 95% of children under 12.
