Director’s Corner–February 2021

Director’s Corner

Welcome to the inaugural newsletter for the Health Campaign Effectiveness Coalition. Please join us as we work together to improve health outcomes by fostering cross-sectoral collaboration among NTDs, immunization, polio eradication, malaria and Vitamin A supplementation programs. With COVID-19 affecting the delivery of key health interventions, the Coalition is a chance for global and country partners to come together and identify innovative and evidenced-based campaign practices that strengthen country health systems and achieve our shared health goals.

In this edition, we highlight our five technical briefs that summarize promising practices around campaign integration, microplanning, and polio eradication, and learn where programs have transitioned the delivery of services from campaigns into routine services of the primary health care system.

For countries who are planning an integrated campaign or trying a new collaborative approach, we invite you to submit a proposal for an implementation research award. These awards will broaden our understanding of new approaches to campaign delivery and ways we can leverage different program’s expertise by working together.

On February 16, we’re launching a new webinar series in which we’ll engage in discussions to share experiences from different countries and current research. This first one features findings from six countries on campaign collaboration and co-delivery.

2021 will be an exciting year for the HCE Coalition as we work together to try new collaborative approaches and strengthen our partnerships.  Please visit our website to learn more about our vision for improving health campaigns and keep in touch with upcoming events.
