SUMMARY:Gavi Zero-Dose Learning Week Post-Event Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Register Here \nDate: 27th November 2024 \nTime: 8:30 – 16:45 UTC. (Convert here for your time zone) \nLocation: Microsoft Teams virtual room \nSee the agenda for the times and details of specific sessions. \nAuthors of the 20 top-rated abstracts of the Zero-Dose Learning Week have been invited to further present and discuss their work and lessons learned in 15 minutes sessions. It will be a unique opportunity to better understand the emerging evidence on ZD children\, to learn more about identifying and reaching ZD children and the key enablers and barriers across different settings and countries\, and to interact with peers and authors and pose questions. \nIA2030 and Gavi\, The Vaccine Alliance\, have put Zero-Dose (ZD) children and missed communities at the core of their strategic approaches\, acknowledging much needs to be learned on how to better identify and reach the most vulnerable children to leave no one behind with immunisation. The recent Alliance Zero-Dose Learning Week collated and synthesized emerging ZD programmatic evidence which is helping to shape the Alliance equity approach for the coming years. It received about 200 abstract contributions from 140 different groups of authors including more than 100 different organizations. The top-rated abstracts authors also submitted posters. This webinar is the opportunity to share those findings more widely. \nThe key audiences for this webinar are policy makers\, partners\, programme implementers and practitioners\, researchers\, students\, and new professionals at all levels working to improve equity in the immunization space. Please note all presentations in this webinar will be in English and translation will not be available. \n

SUMMARY:International Conference on Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) Research (InCORNTD) in Africa
DESCRIPTION:Conference webpage can be found here: https://cor-ntd.org/incorntd \nThe Coalition for Operational Research on Neglected Tropical Diseases (COR-NTD) and the African Research Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases (ARNTD) are hosting the second International Conference on Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) Research (InCORNTD) in Africa on January 20 – 22\, 2025\, in Kigali\, Rwanda.  \nJoin us for the second gathering on NTD research in this region\, following the success of our previous meeting. The inaugural meeting occurred in December 2019 in Nairobi\, Kenya\, igniting great enthusiasm within the region. \nThis second meeting aims to bring together key stakeholders to address how to eliminate NTDs from the region through operational and carefully focused research. The objectives of this meeting are two-fold: 1) to inform the NTD community about new research results and 2) to prioritize remaining operational research questions\, the list of which will be shared with donors for funding consideration. Topics during the meeting will include but are not limited to: schistosomiasis diagnostics\, monitoring and elimination guidelines\, new tools and approaches for onchocerciasis elimination\, skin NTD integration\, last mile of trachoma elimination\, harmonizing geostatistical tools and artificial intelligence for NTDs and integrated xenomonitoring for lymphatic filariasis. \nWe believe that together\, we can make progress towards eliminating NTDs worldwide. \nRegistration \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration has launched for our African colleagues. Historically\, our meetings have been closed due to the nature of the format\, constraints of in-person space capacity\, and of course the generous support from donors which has kept this meeting free of registration fees. Those who request to be added to the COR-NTD Meeting invitation list must be working in the NTD community\, as the goal of the meeting is to foster collaboration and to drive the research agenda. All members of the NTD community are welcome to apply for an invitation to the COR-NTD meeting. If you have been on the invitation list in the past\, you do not need to re-apply. \nNot already on this list? Please apply for invitation to this closed meeting here.  \nInvitations for this meeting will be issued in two waves. The first wave will be an invitation sent to any NTD stakeholders from the African continent\, in order to best facilitate input about African NTDs from members residing and working in the different regions in Africa. A second wave will be sent out to any additional global NTD stakeholders interested in attending the meeting in Africa. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
