June 2022: Somalia begins 1st round of OCV campaign

Somalia began the first round of a cholera vaccination campaign on June 14. The effort focuses on nine high-risk districts currently facing outbreaks: Afgoi, Baidoa, Daynile, Dharkeneley, Hodan, Jowhar, Marka, Wadajir and Wanlaweyn. The initial five-day drive targeted 934,511 people ages 1 and above (including pregnant women and internally displaced persons) with OCV.
