Kenya embarked on a subnational MDA against schistosomiasis and worms on June 8, targeting 5.6 million residents. The campaign covered five counties, including Kitui, Machakos, Makueni and Tharaka-Nithi. In Kitui County, 2,470 community health workers went door to door to administer 1.1 million praziquantel tablets to children ages 5 and above and 1.2 million albendazole tablets to children ages 1 and above.
