South Sudan announced the launch of a reactive yellow fever campaign last week in Sakure, Nzara County, Gbudue State in response to an outbreak in November 2018 that had three laboratory-confirmed cases with no deaths. South Sudan’s last yellow fever outbreak was in May 2003, with deaths in 27 of 178 cases. The Ministry of Health plans to vaccinate 19,578 people aged nine months to 65 years against the disease. WHO
