March 2019: WHO dispatches 900,000 OCV doses to Mozambique

In response to March’s deadly Cyclone Idai, WHO is dispatching 900,000 doses of oral cholera vaccine to Mozambique from a global stockpile, according to media reports last week. As of March 29, 139 cases of cholera have been confirmed; relief efforts now focus on preventing the spread of the disease. The first round of vaccinations will target 100,000 people.
