On May 31, Tajikistan kicked off the first round of a novel oral polio vaccine type 2 (nOPV2) supplemental vaccination campaign in response to an ongoing outbreak. The second round is planned for June 28-July 3. Both rounds aim to administer a total of 4.6 million vaccine doses, including 1.4 million doses to children under age 6. In addition to fixed vaccination points at health facilities, mobile teams will be operating in hard-to-reach areas. WHO
