February 2020: Pakistan launches 1st nationwide polio campaign of the year

Building off a successful December drive, Pakistan launched its first nationwide polio vaccine campaign of the year on February 17, aiming to vaccinate 39.6 million children under 5 across the country. Taking advantage of “cold temperatures,” the country scheduled three back-to-back national drives in December, February and April, plus two additional rounds in high-risk districts during January and March. Pakistan Polio Eradication Programme
