Campaign workers and volunteers are critical in the fight against diseases and the delivery of interventions. This means that the success of campaigns rests on their ability to perform well. However, current campaign strategies do little to support vulnerable workers and create an exploitative and dehumanizing working environment where workers’ safety, performance, motivation, and on-the-job experiences are jeopardized. With renewed commitment from partners to make campaigns more effective, it is our moral duty to not only anchor preventive chemotherapy coverageA proportion (%) that reflects the number of people receiving (an) intervention(s) divided by the total number of people eligible to receive in the right to health and universal health coverage, but also anchor preventive chemotherapy coverage in human and workers’ rights for campaign workers.
