On September 28, the Democratic Republic of Congo launched a third emergency measles vaccine campaign, targeting nearly 825,000 children aged 6–59 months in 24 health zones in nine days. The country first declared the outbreak in June, and as of September 17, a total of 3,667 deaths from the disease have been reported—exceeding the number of Ebola deaths in the country. WHO
