Pakistan’s Lower South Waziristan district (in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province) started the second phase of an integrated health campaign on August 28. The eight-day effort sought to immunize children against multiple communicable diseases, including cholera, diphtheria, hepatitis, measles, meningitis, pertussis, pneumonia, polio, rubella, tetanus, tuberculosis and typhoid.
