#ChooseToChallenge Inequity in NTD Research

To celebrate International Women’s Day, the Global Schistosomiasis Alliance (GSA), Coalition for Operation Research on Neglected Tropical Diseases (COR NTD), SCI Foundation (SCIF) and the International Society for Neglected Tropical Diseases (ISNTD) are excited to invite you to a webinar #ChooseToChallenge inequity in NTD research – on the 8th of March, adopting this year’s theme #ChooseToChallenge.

The webinar will be a panel discussion highlighting the importance of having women from Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) endemic countries working in, and leading, NTD research. While we know this is an important topic for all regions and disciplines, this webinar will focus on African women scientists. Our panel will consist of women scientists at different stages of their research careers, discussing the challenges and barriers for African women in NTD research & health, and hopefully highlighting some things that can be done by the collective NTD community to help remove/overcome these barriers.
