Campaigns deliver millions of bednets, vaccines, and medicines every year, but many still struggle with fragmented data, parallel systems, and coverage gaps that are only discovered after the campaign ends. Between 2021 and 2025, Ministries of Health in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Nigeria (Kano State), Benin, and Kenya worked with the Clinton Health Access Initiative, the World Health Organization Regional Office for Africa, and partners to test whether integrated, government-owned digitization could change that.
This two-part series, hosted by the Health Campaign Effectiveness Coalition’s Campaign Digitization Workgroup, shares what they found. Speakers will cover governance and coordination, building Ministry of Health technical capacity, improvements in data quality, real-time data use, coverage, and the cost of digitization at scale. Each session focuses on practical recommendations that Ministry of Health campaign planners, program managers, and implementing partners can apply in their own contexts.
Simultaneous interpretation in French and Portuguese will be provided for both sessions.
Date/Time: Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 15.00-16.00 CET
Health campaigns are an important means of delivering essential health interventions at scale, but opportunities for greater coordination and integration are not always fully realized.
Join the Sabin Vaccine Institute’s Boost Community and WHO for From guidance to practice: Planning integrated health campaigns. This webinar will take a practical look at how countries can identify and act on opportunities for campaign integration, using WHO’s newly launched Implementing integrated health campaigns: Decision-making and planning guide. Developed in collaboration with the Health Campaign Effectiveness Coalition, technical experts and implementing partners, the guide provides a practical five-step process to help countries determine when integration is appropriate, what aspects of a campaign could be integrated, and how integrated approaches can be planned, implemented and evaluated.
Through country experiences and discussion, participants will explore how the guidance can be applied in different contexts and consider opportunities to strengthen coordination across immunization, malaria, neglected tropical diseases, nutrition and other health programs. Simultaneous French interpretation will be available. This session will be delivered in English with French interpretation. Other languages can be available using the Zoom automatic translation feature.
