HCE Coalition members published Opportunities and barriers arising from the COVID-19 pandemic for health campaign integration across immunizations, neglected tropical diseases, insecticide-treated bed nets, and vitamin A supplementation: A qualitative key informant interview study in the journal PLOS Global Public Health. This study is one of the many studies that underpin the Collaborative Action Strategy recommendations.
The authors make six recommendations based on their analysis:
- Be selective
- Plan jointly and early
- Align incentives and support for frontline workers
- Use data to guide decisions
- Build local ownership and leadership
- Document real-world experiences
