Malawi launched a mass bed net distribution campaign on November 11, aiming to provide treated bed nets to 9 million residents in an effort to eliminate malaria. The bed nets are expected to last for three to five years. The country is also undertaking a 36-day indoor residual spraying campaign of 539,000 eligible structures, which commenced on October 18 in Balaka district and October 25 in the Mangochi and Nkhata Bay districts.
