Zainab Ali, MSc

Zainab Ali, MSc is an experienced Public Health professional with over eleven years’ continuous working experience spanning across a broad range of leadership, program management, capacity building, proposal writing, supply chain, SBC, budget development & management and M&E. Proficient in government, donor and community engagement and committed to a career in humanitarian assistance, global health development and research to contribute positively to access & use of health care services in developing countries. Ms. Ali has an in-depth knowledge of the health system at the Federal, state, LGA and community levels in Nigeria. She is an expert on the implementation of high impact projects, such as rapid scale up (ITN mass campaigns, SMC campaign) and sustainable approaches (continuous distribution activities). A proven expert and an Alliance for Malaria Prevention (AMP) technical assistance (TA) provider offering comprehensive knowledge and experience in malaria control/elimination approaches. Ms. Ali has held various positions in both national and international public health focused organizations taking on responsibilities that cut across purely technical (M&E, SBC and supply chain) to management (program design, implementation and budgeting) roles. She provided overall technical support and coordination for the ITN mass campaign in Nigeria and other countries. She successfully led the introduction of ICT4D in Nigeria and supported planning of integrated campaign (MCHW-Vit A & Albendazole with ITNs) in Sierra Leone. Zainab Ali is currently the Senior Officer, malaria technical advisor with AMP/IFRC on the Gates funded ITN campaign efficiency project.
