UNICEF and WHO vaccinated hundreds of thousands of children this month in areas of Mozambique affected by Cyclones Idai and Kenneth in May. The drive included 285,000 people receiving the first of two doses of oral cholera vaccine, as well as 700,000 children vaccinated against polio and 650,000 against measles and rubella. The drive also provided vitamin A supplements to 700,000 children, deworming tablets to more than 550,000 children, iron and folic acid supplements to over 650,000 adolescent girls, and screened nearly 700,000 children for malnutrition. Held during Mozambique’s Health Week, the drive focused on 21 affected areas within Sofala, Manica, Inhambane and Zambézia provinces. UNICEF; WHO
