Gambia is “preparing for at least two massive supplementary polio vaccination rounds” in response to a recent polio outbreak. Each campaign round will target 382,908 children under age 5, aiming to vaccinate all under-5 children in Gambia. The country declared a public health emergency on August 18 after two cases of poliovirus type 2 were found in environmental sewage samples in Banjul and Kotu. The Voice; Africanews
