This paper addresses the economics of integrationThe sharing of all or specific campaign components or functions by a specific program addressing a disease or health need with the broader health system and ongoing delivery of int of immunization and primary health care services in LMICs. The methods included a literature review and expert consultations. Key questions asked included:
- What are metrics that could be used for evaluationThe systematic and objective assessment of the relevance, adequacy, progress, efficiency, effectiveness and impact of a course of actions, in relation to objectives and taking into of the economics of integration?
- What are the important questions on the economics of integration that still need to be addressed? What evidence needs to be collected?
- Are there likely opportunities to evaluate questions of the economics and costs of integration? Are there promising examples of integration that could be studied from an economic perspective?
